Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
A good night for British boxing tonight, and while Eubank Jr is in action on Channel 5, Kell Brook and Luke Campbell top the bill on Sky.
Brook v Bizier
Everything here seems to suggest a Brook win, with his clear lead in terms of pedigree being highlighted in the last three title defences. Brook also stopped Ionut Dan Ion, who gave Bizier both of his defeats by SD, so personally I'm thinking that Bizier may go the distance, although Brook's KO percentage has been going up over the last eight or nine fights too. Brook is the home fighter, so if Bizier takes this one it will be a huge upset.
Campbell v Sykes
The top of the undercard sees Luke Campbell trying to bounce back from his first defeat by SD against experienced veteran Yvan Mendy, and Sykes seems to be tailor made for him. Sykes doesn't have a big punch, so Campbell can go in looking for the finish, and maybe take a few more risks than if he was up against a bigger puncher. Sykes has only been stopped once though, so another one that looks to be on the cusp of a late KO/points win for Campbell.
Elsewhere on the card, David Allen is up against perennial journeyman Jason Gavern, Adam Etches continues his comeback since defeat to Sergey Khomitsky, and a couple of lighter weight bouts with Andy Townend v Craig Poxton for the English Super Feather title and Leigh Wood v Lee Glover for the Midlands Featherweight strap.

I am surprised this is not ppv.
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
I am going to be skipping between these, The Channel 5 card and the Footy. Interested to see how Campbell bounces back and whether there are any changes under his new trainer. Love to see Eubank get put on his backside at least, but that is an outside longshot,(although I do think he is ludicrously overrated). Brook should cruise this one but never say never. I can see Kell stopping him in round one or two. Will check on England too, though I have absolutely no idea who any of the players are, now that I am old and have not watched a premiership side in years.

I agree, originally I thought it would be, but having had a look at Bizier's record, and the lack of quality below Campbell v Sykes on the undercard, I can understand why it isn't on PPV, as I don't think the sales would have been huge.

Forget sales. Let's just alienate the fans.
Sales did not stop the great materpeice of boxing Cleverly v Bellew 2.
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Bizier looks like a really tough guy who comes to fight, could see it going the distance and being a good watch, even though the outcome should never be in doubt as Brook is an excellent boxer. About what time should the main even be getting underway over there, chaps?
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Brook on around 10.30 our time.
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Townend v Poxton was a bit of a mismatch in the end - definitely earned the nickname of the KO Kid, as Poxton was down three times and was reeling after the first, never really recovering properly. Not too much of an opportunity to judge too much of Townend, but that was a classy little finish.
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Brook will be on earlier if all the fights go like the first. Awesome uppercut, goodnight Irene

Andy Townend is looking pretty good isn't he, I think I've only seen him once before but it'd be interesting to see him take a little step up in class, still very early days for him yet though.

See you 16th June.

Gavern doing his best to get chucked out before he has to quit
Re: Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier / Luke Campbell v Gary Sykes
Fighters need to quit using animals as nicknames. Especially rhino's. They usually end up as being the opposite. Etienne comes to mind. And Liakhovich was more poodle then wolf. Allen seems like a good kid. I hope he does not get laid out the moment he gets nailed by somebody with a pulse.
