I am currently reading his book In The Cheap Seats and I LOVE it. He reminds me of A.J. Leibling and I wish every one of his essays were just a couple paragraphs longer. Can't wait to start Gods Of War and Murderers Row, his other works.

I think Toledo said that he considered Liebling a beautiful or great writer or something, and it's hard for anyone writing in the field not to be influenced by such a great. I have read some of his work on 'The Sweet Science' site but never any of his books or collections of essays. I am going to check him out now, as soon as I have made my way through the current pile at my bedside. I love boxing writing and am starting to build up quite a comprehensive boxing library now.Quote:

Not read a boxing book for ages. I think it was about Watson and his battles particularly with Eubank.
