Twenty years or less, knowledge you wish you had then
I know our ages run the gamet here but what information or state of mind do you wish you had back in your more formative years. Even if your nineteen or twenty or younger I'm sure you stumbled across knowledge that changed things you once thought were right and good only to find they were creating either stumbling blocks, pain or just plain wrong. I'm not writing one myself yet as I recently had this conversation with a friend of mine and I'm still coming up with answers I'm trying to narrow it down to the most important two or three or perhaps the top one. What say you.

I wish I knew what a fucking gangster I was at 8, I could have had the world.

Wish i took my life a bit more seirous, or just kidding, i live an hour at a time. I recon its the worst thing you can do, thinking back, I never take any picture, if i forget a place i just go there again. instead of having a look at a picture. But thats my thoughts now, I'm 23 at this moment. when I'm older i probably should took those picture.

I wish I had more guidance and advice. I lacked a father figure and some gentle prodding. If I could take the knowledge and brain I have now, I would have done it all very differently and better. My current brain is damaged and slightly frazzled, but through it all there is a little bit of wisdom. I would urge the younger me into the field of medicine or to become a vet. Anything except the humanities which are just an inhuman waste of time. You can read about that stuff as a hobby and for your own knowledge base when you are mature enough to process it. Learn a trade, a skill, something. It took me a long time to learn about the basics and that should have all been given to me as a youth. I was reading Camus but was as forward thinking as a camel.

Immaturity resulted in me not trying my hardest at university, i should have had more pussy but too shy, and i could have taken boxing career more seriously instead of ending up on here bitching.

Travelling is overrated.

Respect that your ol man had been there and done that. What he was telling you..advising you..was not criticism and punishment, it was him watching himself all over again. Experience.
How I didn't climb off the floor after every "you don't understand" or don't know where I'm coming from is a testament to patience and just how much they really did 'get it'.
It took me forever to realize that you don't get your time back. Your days. What we took for granted and put off until tomorrow was massive.

Priorities that is really what it all boils down to, I wish I had some better priorities as a kid, and even now I'll catch myself doing something like oooooh I don't know posting 50 billion times on a boxing site and I'm thinking to myself "Why am I doing this, I need to fucking focus on life man"

As I've got older, I learn from the mistakes of people who took my advice.
