Pampered millennials are requesting this fall at almost every College campus in the northeast of the United States that universities do not invite any speaker who has "the remote chance of making anybody feel bad about themselves".
Where is that guillotine.......
In that respect they are sheltered, but in no way are millenials pampered. They are facing a difficult start in life in a decayed system that hasn't been seen since the 1930's. Many can't even leave their childhood bedrooms. They are freaking out over bizarre things because a lot of these young people are in serious trauma. Students need to accept that people like Milo Yiannapolous exist, but by the same token we should understand that they are physically and emotionally sick not because they have been pampered but because they have been roundly abused. People raised in a nutritious, loving, educational and economically fair environment can accept diversity of opinion, but you make these people sick with deprivation and they won't be able to tolerate anything. They are young, but they often can and will grow.
Do you mean just intellectually pampered? If so I would agree with that.
