It's a good fight but I don't want to see a canelo-cotto rematch if they both won.
Brook has a lot of options right now. Probably more options than any fighter in the sport. 154 and 147.
I wouldn't mind watching him wipe the floor with the Charlos, but Haymon ain't letting that happen any time soon.

Cotto is looking for an easier fight and someone big in US, so it will not be Brook.
It would be a great fight however I don't like this fight happening as Brook's first fight back, he needs to rest up, heal, and ease back into things. It would be an all action fight for certain.
Would I want to see either Cotto or Brook fight the Canelo-Smith winner? Meh....not all that interested in that
It's a very winnable fight for brook, but he really doesn't stand to gain anything besides money, I think. He's already gained any credibility that might have alluded him by fighting GGG, if not porter. Cotto's coming off a loss and now has 5 and doesn't have a strap. So Aside from money and the fact cottos probably canelo'ing around 155 also means it would be a gentle transition midstep rather than Jones'ing himself down and draining himself, he might not get much credit for the victory.
I might avoid the Charlos at first. Those guys got about 3 inches over him and probably come in on fight night about 165+ and would probably try to replicate the GGG performance, and walk him down a bulldoze him. The lesser charlo is probably still easier pickins if brook stays mobile though.
Lots of interesting fights for him though. I'd probably start with someone like Trout. Not a big puncher, somewhat slick, can still be a spoiler, but his legs are probably old enough at this point that Brook can look like a superstar late against him, if not early.
For a guy being mentioned for the shadow of Marquez and Peterson I don't know if Cotto will want to risk it knowing he can still milk it. Bit of an irony as Cotto 'I'm not really a middleweight' would be fighting a fresher boxer who was even less ventured as one going in vs Golovkin. Brook has more options right now than he knows what to do with and don't think he gains much beating Cotto at this stage.
Cotto Brook? I'd pay to see that, I am sure it would be a very decent scrap packed with action.
I think it'd be a cracking fight for Brook, it would further introduce him the the American audience, I think he would probably have too much for Cotto now.
I'd like to see it.
