Oh believe me they will be calling in the military. I have no doubt that the Marines will be called into New York City and Chicago and San Francisco and Los Angeles to name a few Sanctuary cities which willfully and audaciously Harbor and protect illegal criminal immigrants.

Expecting local law enforcement to take the lead on this will cannibalize already underfunded and undermanned departments even with minimal Federal funding. Not to mention make them even bigger and familiar targets in local communities. I'm sure grunts getting shot at in Afghanistan just cannot wait to come home and start dragging families into the streets. Going to be a long hard slog.
