Rip John Glenn you were a beyond the beyond bravest of men
I've always been fascinated with the American and Russian space programs. Especially the early days with the guys who left the planet on a ship driven by less computing power than a pocket calculator. John Glenn, one of the first of these men, has passed on. God bless you John, nota great senator but a top class human being. @denilson200

Rest in peace
The Shuttle Commander for the last mission to space John Glenn went on STS-95 is a family friend and we were invited down for that launch which was STAR STUDDED. Evander Holyfield, Ted Williams, Steven Tyler, and a whole load of others were there to see John Glenn off on that mission.
Hopefully when NASA goes back to being involved in space exploration instead of being a Muslim outreach group :vd: they will name one of the new shuttles after Senator Glenn.
God speed sir

John Glenn was awarded by John F Kennedy and tried to be the democratic nominee.
