Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
:coolclick: Thank you. :appl: He's been all talk and doesn't back it up.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
As harsh as that is...I agree. :coolclick:
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
Having only been a boxing fan for like 2 years, I have seen like a million fights and quite a few of Vargas's' and there is something about him I don't like but can't quite pin it down. WHat kind of things does he say>?? I heard he was a total asshole before his fight with Oscar, I remember Oscar saying that Vargas thinks being Mexican means being angry all the time so I'm guessing he has some knid of bad attitude??
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
Yeah, before the ODLH fight, he was basically saying that ODLH wasn't a true Mexican. All of this based of the fact that ODLH is massively popular in the US and caters to the US audience as well as the Mexican audience. ODLH always makes sure that Americans know that he's not just Mexican but also Mexican-American. Vargas basically was jealous that ODLH was a great success and sometimes people like Vargas feel that being successful is somehow the equivalent of selling out. Then what happened? Vargas throughout the fight was saying "Come on, come on, let's fight" and then ODLH knocked him the fuck out. haha, karma is a bitch.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
he needs to give up that thugg mentality he is not 19 yrs old anymore and has kids now. He never gives any respect to fighters he loses to. it is one thing to think you did not lose but you don't have to disrespect the other fighter, even his knocout loss to oscar he said it was a lucky punch. after getting the gift decision against winky he did not appreciate winky's efforts and said that winky couldn't beat him on his worst night. he is a jackass but it is exciting to watch his ass get ko in every big fight.

:coolclick: Just like Wile E. Coyote always getting into some kind of trouble, that crazy Fernando, he's always getting KTFO.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
being a bit harsh you lot!! give the kid a little credit.
Oscar loves playing the "peoples champion".. and Vargas "the villain".. boxing will always need a villain. He may have been knocked out but they were all good fights against the best!
He doesn't duck people. 15-0 15 ko's and only 21 years old when he won a world title that is impressive. Personally I've enjoyed his career, but I do agree he could be a little more gracious in defeat.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
I've never really liked Vargas personally, but I'll take him over Judah anyday cause at least he's been in some exciting fights.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
Never liked Vargas since he and the judges robbed Winky. And I hated him when he knocked down the bricks against Trinidad.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
Vagras may be a prick but he's a good fighter for sure
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
I always thought he was a fake thug, just never backed up all the trash talking he did leading up to a big fight and to top it off he never admitted to taking steroids which he knowingly took, and still got knocked out against Hoya. Guess mom was right cheaters never win.

Heh, "he straight up looked like a ganstah" and "wanted to beat them aztec's asses." ;D
I thought it was funny.
Re: Fernando Vargas is trash
Yes and when he fought Wright, I bet he wished they'd kept him in his cage

Vargas was tough and did have a lot of talent in his early stages. What happened with him? I don't know.
