James Degale vs Badou Jack - Great fight - How'd you score it?

I had it 7-5 to Badou and whilst the fight was close he was the clear winner. ;)

Same, but it was a terrific fight and I don't think Jack should complain too much as this draw won't hurt him at all.... In fact I think both fighters will move on w/ their careers all the better having given the fans a great fight.....

Video is mental. 95% of the people feel Jack won but "Jack earned a draw, Degale gave away a win"? Mental. The draw is fair enough. But Jack won, and he beat him up.
Skill isn't just showy punches and fluid movement. Punch selection is a skill, spacial awareness is a skill, blocking punches is a skill. The more skillful guy landed more, landed cleaner, and landed harder.

Jack was out worked for the majority of the first 6 + a knock down.
I had a couple even rounds also that could have been swung either way.
It felt to me that jack worked to get back into the fight and Degale lost a lead to draw it.
Subjective sport.

Love both the videos and the passion for the sport. Just have agree to disagree on this one. There seem to be two camps. Those that felt Degale was well ahead early and Jack brought it back to a draw. And those that thought Degale had a lead early and Jack came on for the win. I'm fine with the draw as I said. I just don't like the thought Degale gave it away. I think Jack doesn't get as much credit as he deserves for using his mind to overcome limitations.
Did you know Jack outlanded him in 3 of the first 6 rounds? It supports the idea it was close early. The late charge is supported by Jack outlanding him in 5 of the last 6.
Of course punch stats are not the be all end all but when they contradict what we saw I think most of us revisit it.
Any way about it it was a great night for boxing fans. Appreciate the videos

I had Jack winning, but can see the case for Degale. If you look at this fight from the aspect of who caused more damage, Jack was the clear winner. Boxing is a science, however, so I understand how some judges would reward Degale's movement and flashy combos. That being said, if it was an old school, 15 round fight, Jack stops him.

6 each
I thought it was a relatively easy fight to score
having said that, I cant really see any case for degale winning more than the 6 he won
I wouldn't argue to strongly with anyone scoring it 7-5 to jack

Cracking fight from both guys. I'm not a big DeGale fan but he showed some grit there. He obviously lost his teeth quite early on because his mouthpiece kept falling out and he toughed it out very well. The commentators were questioning his standing in front of Jack rather than boxing .... but he has stood in the pocket for his entire pro career - a bit like a poor mans Don Curry.
Jack is a beast, great engine especially as he was tight at the weight. Solid solid guy, who doesn't do much spectacular which is why I think he has had some bad decisions.
having said all that, I watched the fight through the first time without commentary and I had De Gale winning by a point.
I can see why people might have Jack as the winner. Whoever lost would have been gutted as they both gave their all.

Wider than I thought rewatching it again. 8-4 Jack on sheer physicality and more effective punching.

He did outland Degale in 8 rounds. And considernig he landed cleaner and harder for sure 8-4 isn't unthinkable. I had 7-5. I can't see how anyone can possibly gift Degale more than 6 rounds.

I had Jack winning. No talk about Floyd checking the judges cards between rounds.

Is that what Floyd was doing?

That's what DeGales trainer Jim McDonnell was claiming but I haven't heard anything further -
