toney won because he's better than ruiz, as simple as that really....too skilled for mr huggy...that and his conditioning was marginally better despite taking the fight at short notice...

smaller weights obviosuly fight faster paces and cannot get careless like heavyweight and need to use much more skill (same as conventional wrestling teh lighter the weight the more skill u must execute)

Toney is almost 24 fights away from fighting 100 times. I think it is mainly because Ruiz instead of using the jab and grab style, instead tried to come forward all night and be crowd pleasing
