Joe Calzaghe Obtains Manager's License, Signs Two Olympians
Joe Calzaghe back in boxing as former unified world champion earns manager's licence
Boxing legend Joe Calzaghe will represent two of Britain's brightest former Olympians after being granted a manager's licence.
The Welshman hung up his own gloves eight years ago with a perfect 48-0 record in the ring.
And the former unified super-middleweight world champion will know pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
The Sun reports that Calzaghe will represent Joe Cordina and Josh Kelly who both competed at the Rio Olympics last year.
Cordina, 25, and Kelly, 22, have both signed promotional deals with Eddie Hearn.
The former, Welsh like Calzaghe, will make his debut in Glasgow on April 15.
Calzaghe has long resisted the temptation to step back through the ropes.

I don't quite get this...... Both signed promotional agreements with Eddie Hearn,..... and are being trained by Sims and Booth.....
i'm guessing Calzaghe has a pretty loose hold over these two fighters then..?
Cordina, 25, is Welsh like Calzaghe, will make his pro debut this spring and is being trained by Tony Sims. He will compete at lightweight Kelly, 22, from Sunderland, fought at welterweight in Rio and reached the last 16. He will be trained by Adam Booth, who previously trained David Haye and currently trains Billy Joe Saunders, Andy Lee, etc
"Cazlaghe has signed up 2016 Olympians Joe Cordina and Josh Kelly. The two amateurs recently signed promotional agreements with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport."

Too early and just suicide for anyone's career.

Eddie/Matchroom don't manage any fighters (officially). He openly says it's a conflict of interest, as a managers job is to get the most money possible for the fighter, the promoters job is to pay them as little as possible. It's actually illegal in the States (officially).
