I saw it and thought about watching it after all the reviews it does have, but i cannot fuck with another world war 2 movie. theres just to many of them

Great film, I did nearly switch it off at two points that were just fucking ridiculous though
1:when they are crawling over the dead bodies and suddenly one sits bolt upright and screams in the dudes face before the pair of them get splattered, fucking stupid like some thing out of an 80s B movie horror.
2:when the dude picks up a dismembered torso and uses it as a shield with one hand whilst firing his gun with his other whilst charging into the japs taking out hoards of them, fucking stupid like something out of the expendables. .
Other than those two little things it was brilliant, yeah they bullshitted the story up a bit but it's Hollywood after all isn't it.

Ya, I heard a lot about him in my home town and guess where? Just a couple miles away from Hacksaw Ridge! But it's no big deal as Okinawa is a very small island & the people are concentrated between two cities and the ridge is somewhere in between there. Contrary to the impression you might get, the place is not located in some distant hills but right along the main highway there and you can see it when you pass alone that highway. I think a Christian school was on top of the ridge but I'm not sure if it is still there...
