Who is the most famous person you have ever met?
Dunno what got me thinking this but it could be quite interesting.
Footballers don't count unless you actually had a full blown conversation with them, the fuckers sign hundreds of autographs.
I met Steve Earle and had a little chat with him after he played the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, fucking love that bloke so he is my number 1
but when I was a nipper I met Steve Cradock (guitarist with Ocean Colour Scene) got to speaking with him in the Birmingham Academy, met him about 5 times, was on first name basis with him and used to get into rounds with him whilst chatting shit about music, sound as fuck that bloke was.

I know mine ain't very exciting but I'd expect some of you crazy cats to have some good ones

Met Floyd Mayweather at the Peacock Gym in East London, had a brief chat and a longer chat with his mum ;D
Met Liam Gallagher from Oasis in Ibiza years ago, not long after he got a kicking in Germany and lost a few teeth, it was a crazy after hours club, everyone had been awake all weekend and the whole club was wasted, it was about 11am, had a proper chat with him at the bar.
Played football against David Beckham a few times as a kid and have met and spoken to loads of different Boxers over the years.

Met the jam band phish before they hit it big. What a great group of guys. They were playing a little festival in my area. Damn they became famous. I had a brief discussion with them, had I known I would have tried to become bffs with them

I know Tommy Hearns quite well. I also trained under Manny Steward with Milton Mcrory, Hilmer Kenty, Jimmy Paul, Tyrell Biggs, Mark Breland, Pernell Whittaker, Mike McCallum ..... RayLeonard always showed up to train regularly too. I remember Manny used to drive the team to our tournaments in his knackered old Cadillac.
Played pool for three hours with Paul Gascoigne and Ian Wright in the rough rough Eagle Tavern in Croydon. Gascoigne was a quality pool player.
Met the Queen when I was a kid, during her visit to Kuwait.
Re: Who is the most famous person you have ever met?
I saw Nick Owen walking to the TV studio and Shafali Oza weather presenter.
So no. :)

Most famous person I've met....in boxing it's Oliver McCall, I met Keith Davis who was a linebacker for the New York Giants. Keith Davis was a heck of a nice guy, his career ended really quickly due to an unfortunate knee injury. I've met a number of semi-famous people I am sure, but I think the one most folks here would recognize is......
