At last Wembley is ready; well the Arena is anyway!

The last time there was a massive refurbishment was in 1980, when the Empire Pool, became the new 'Wembley Arena'. And what better way to Christened it, than to have then British Middleweight Champion of the World, Alan Minter take on Marvin Hagler?

Well after the fight, (the first I ever went to) elements of the National Front decided there was a need to give the Arena a unplanned refurbishment...

But tonight, The New Arena is playing it safe, and have Depeche Mode re-open it, and my baby brother is going.

Lets hope the Goths behave themselves. ;)

Depeche mode? Goths? Last I knew they were an 80s Electro band who Marylin Manson covered with his own 'special style' (played it with power chords and screamed it... how original)... Still I'd be more worried about my dad and his mates fucking the Arena up than a bunch of skinny 'goths' from middle class suburbs :P

Well my brother is tall and skinny, very pale, with a lot of tattoo's and liking of Marylin Manson and offensive t-shirts... I guess that is a modern goth ???

Yeah, I just didn't know Depeche mode had gained that sort of following. :) Used to just have 'normal' fans back in 'the day' ;)
