Maybe the size difference with his decline was why he looked so bad. I don't know. But I just think that Pacquiao will never look good again. He would get destroyed by a top welter.
Before this fight I thought that he was still a top 10 p4p fighter. Now he isn't even close. It's just weird to think that the Pacquiao era is officially over.
I agree, I've said he should retire but I expect there will be one more fight
Re: Pacquiao is finally done
I'm sure some think if Pac came back and beat Horn then retired it would look better. But for me that does nothing. What Pac did is already written, for me he's above that. I'd like to see him announce his retirement quickly so Horn and Spence could unify. Then have Spence fight Thurman for all the belts.
But I understand completely if Pac wants revenge.
Re: Pacquiao is finally done
Pac fighting again is pointless legacy wise, but I'm sure he can make a lot more money fighting still. I would watch a rematch with Horn but would only be semi interested.
Re: Pacquiao is finally done
No doubt these returning fighters who keep going on like Roy jones etc you know money is a big part but I think it's also part what these guys have done all their lives and maybe it's hard to let go of. Perhaps a poor example but the let's take The Rolling Stones or bob Dylan, they don't need the money but still tour. I am not saying the money plays no part but perhaps with a lot of these boxers it has been such a big part of life it's hard to let go. I don't know, I never got to ask one but I do think about it.

For sure. The feeling before a big fight is amazing. The feeling a fighter has before a big fight has to be hard to let go of. 10 thousand or more fans screaming for you.
But at a certain point you become in the way of progress. We'll never forget what PAC has done. I'd be all for him continuing if he wants. I'd just like to see him do it without belts involved, he doesn't need a belt anyway. And that goes for all the older names that wouldn't be interested in unifying if they win.
Now would be a perfect time for Pac/Khan. It doesn't do anything to get in the way and would sell well. Pac/Brook. Pac/Broner if Broner were to knock off Garcia. There are lots of big names that still allow the young guys to pursue their ambitions of unification.
Re: Pacquiao is finally done
To be fair he didn't look that absolute gone considering he actually won his last fight :-X. But hey it is what it is and we'll follow Arums script. He had two guys on different ends of the career scale holding a trinket that other top tier welters..Spence Crawford.. would beat mutually at this point. Arum milked Manny like the cash cow he is-was.

There's nothing to think about especially if you can relate to our own experiences because you hit the nail on the head. It is so hard to let go. We have all had this experience and watching a hero fall makes us forget. Like them we have had our experiences and when it was time to stop for them and the deafening cheers go away they are chasing a memory.
