Do you ever walk around having feelings of impending doom
Seriously I don't know what it is but every so I often I have this feeling that something real bad is going to come to pass. It's not so much specific to me but to a loved one or the world but in actuality it is more of just a general shits gonna hit the fan at any minute. I'm not depressed and I don't think it's ptsd or anything it just is
Re: Do you ever walk around having feelings of impending doom
Quite often. It's something I can't really shake off. In a fucked up modern central bank run system surrounded by war mongers you cannot help but feel helpless. It's not a question of if you will die, it is just when.
Re: Do you ever walk around having feelings of impending doom
we are all already dead. Muhammad said in the Hadith: "You should live in this world as if you are already dead." It means it is all illusion and living in denial that at any moment as you eat, dream, work, shop or speak to your loved ones YOU CAN JUST DROP. FUCKING DONE.
So stick that money up your ass
total emptiness inside
blew your time by earning cash
now filled with formaldehyde
Re: Do you ever walk around having feelings of impending doom
All the time, whether I am picturing the bus that I am in coming off the road, some impending illness that hasn't quite reached the surface yet, getting caught up in a bombing, having a heart attack or a stroke, these things go through my head several times a day, they always have done.
That is part of the reason why I started looking up and researching the mysteries of space, it makes you realise how insignificant you are and that if something was to happen it wouldn't really matter.
The other day I was chewing on a piece of plastic and actually thought 'I wonder how long it'd take me to choke to death if I accidentally swallowed this...I wonder how long it'd take anyone to find me' thoughts like that don't bother me anymore.

No. Love life and never want it to end.

Master that is precisely why we always think about this stuff. No creature wants to die. It is wired into every creature to try to stay alive until the very very end. But because we all know it subconsciously most people are afraid to bring it to the conscious surface because they think it would make them feel depressed. However sometimes you have to look at it like Batman just said and constantly picture that anything can happen at any moment.

I think having kids helps. It forces you to remember to see things thru their eyes and they live in the moment. Every second wasted looking back or forward just detracts from that.

I am sure that you are pretty much on top of your health but it can be indicative of a heart condition. MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) can flood your body with stress hormones that people often mistake for panic attacks. It feels like an impending sense of doom.

There is no question that that is correct. It would definitely distract you from focusing either deliberately or automatically on time passing and the gossamer and flimsy nature of our very breath and existence from moment to moment. However even if that did help which I just said it would I also feel that is a form of denial in a way although it is not deliberate by focusing on anything else it's simply diss tracks from that ever-present and maddening truth. So whether the kids distract you or you have a hobby that distracts you or you have some type of endeavor or Focus that distracts you it is still a form of not looking at it which is not necessarily bad but I am just saying it doesn't matter what we do because we are all headed there at any moment.
Re: Do you ever walk around having feelings of impending doom
Remember this is not a dress rehearsal.
Make the most of it and cherish every moment.

Fortunately it's not that. I only know because I had a bad case of vertigo a while back and I got several ekg and other tests so for the time being my health is ok but even that is temporary one day my health will go completely to shit

@Master in many many religions it is 100% a dress rehearsal for the afterlife.

Not for me, why worry about the afterlife when today should matter.
