lomachenko vs Rigo close to being a done deal?!?
Nothing official yet, but rumors have it, and boxrec.com has rigo listed as Lomachenkos next opponent. I feel like this may be too good to be true. This is a technical boxing purists wet dream. There's no fight I'd rather see than this, usually two skilled technicians do not make fights that are fan favorates, but anyone was a basic understanding of the sport must be drooling. And with Lomas offensive prowness, maybe this will be something everyone would appreciate. GET IT DONE NOW BEFORE RIGOS AGE CATCHES UP TO HIM!

Rigo will win but Lomo will get the decision
He'll get credit for being active even if he's missing
The clean work will be done by Rigo but he'll be robbed.
Re: lomachenko vs Rigo close to being a done deal?!?
im siding slightly with loma
size and weight and all
but I think rigo will win
Re: lomachenko vs Rigo close to being a done deal?!?
At 130 everything's stacked in Loma's favor. Rigo should have taken the opportunity when it was offered previously. Just another example of his terribly handled career.

It is not too late for Rigo. The longer he waits the shorter his chances are winning.

So you want Loma to win but you think Rigo will do it?
I think Rigo will win but I'm not sure if he'll get it.

He's getting twice the money now. So it seems they handled this aspect quite well.
Indeed he will face obstacles in the fight but not very different than the obstacles that were there before.

He may be getting more than the original offer but he is now jumping 2 weight divisions, so that would be expected. Loma has adjusted to 130. Rigo has also been pretty inactive and has only fought 3 rounds in over a year. This will be Loma's 3rd fight this year. It should still be quite intriguing as Rigo has mad skills but his chin has already shown vulnerabilities. I just feel he missed his window.
Re: lomachenko vs Rigo close to being a done deal?!?
Rigo has had a wasted career. He would have never been a household name, but I think he could have had a great legacy that boxing fans would remember. Now, if he loses to Loma, I think he will be mostly forgotten.

I did find it disappointing that many left 122 rather than face him. Sometimes you need to leave your comfort zone tho to get the attention you deserve. Mikey is a prime example of this.
