Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
just looking through some of his previous scorecards on BoxRec
Mayweather completely shut him out yet he got a 114-114
Austin Trout was a close fight (I'm not debating the winner here just saying it was close) and he got a 109-118
Erislandy Lara won the fight yet Canelo got cards of 115-113 and 117-111 whilst Lara had one card go his way at 115-113
GGG won (in a lot of peoples opinion) a very close fight yet Canelo scraped a draw because of a 118-110
4 strange score cards in 4 years
is there anyone else as 'fortunate' as Canelo, not only does he look like an Irishman he has the luck of one as well
Re: Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
Titofan has been saying this for years, that Canelo is a protected fighter and even when Khan was out boxing him some judge had him level/winning.
Re: Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
The only fighter I can think of that gets better cards was rocky Juarez. For some reason they really tried to push him.
I had him losing to trout but beating Lara. Both fights were close so the decisions weren't robberies but I agree with the wide scoring. It's like these judges filled out the cards the day before.
Re: Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
118-110 was wrong but she was still going to score the match for Canelo.
It was not a robbery.
Roy Jones loosing at the olympics was a robbery.
The scorecard was pathetic but it still would have been a draw.

I think a draw was fortunate for Canelo but not a robbery. Kind of like when Ward got the decision over Kovalev in their first fight. Just fortunate scoring for Ward but not a robbery. It's just that about 99% of people thought that GGG won so take out the corrupt scorecard and replace it with someone else and GGG wins the fight.
Re: Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
Seriously the way you lot talk, it's as if Canelo has never actually won a fight and is completely incapable. Against Lara, Canelo landed 88 power punches to only 52 for Lara.Against Trout, Alvarez landed 95 of his power punches to 96 for Lara but Canelo scored a knockdown in the fight. Against Golovkin, Canelo landed 114 power punches to 110 for Golovkin. Alvarez landed at a higher connect percentage in all of those fights meaning he was more accurate and had the better defence.

I can happily say I'm a massive Ward fan (not the greatest to watch) but I had Kovalev edging the first fight.. but it could have went either way!
There's no way Ward deserved to take that mans belt on that performance.. but it was no robbery!
Re: Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
It seems canelo has been protected since day one. Groomed for the gate and ppv. Ever since the trout fight, which canelo lost, I have disliked him

The corporations and establishment need a ppv star to peddle their business model and he has to keep winning to bring in the money.
Canelo normally has the judge's, home venue, alphabet bodies and size to beat his opponents. Saul is a good fighter but not a great one which is what they have to try and make him.

Exactly all you idiots complaining about the 118 to 110 card just say that card had been 1:15 to 1:13 for Canelo.... it still would have been a draw

Well I haven't at any point said it was a robbery and I have said several times that I would have been absolutely fine with a 115/113 card and a draw.
I can't understand how you can be happy with such an inept fucking judge though, the mind fucking boggles.
The only fucking idiots who are happy to accept a corrupt fucking scorecard as long as their man gets the result.
Again for all the fucking idiots who struggle to comprehend this "it wasn't a robbery, a draw is a fair result, adalaide byrd is either completely and utterly inept at a job that she has been doing for years or she is fucking corrupt" and looking at some of Canelos previous cards it would suggest the latter.
Re: Canelo and his fortunate scorecards
I will go on record saying I feel it was a robbery. A draw is bullshit triple g won the fight. I think shit like this keeps boxing in the background how can you have faith in such a corrupt sport when the loser wins

And still would have been a robbery as the man that 95% of the world saw win didn't.
So far on Saddo's 4 people have claimed Golovkin lost.
