Don't know which is worse: FAKE news or NO news. ;)

Being out of the news loop for the most part is pretty damned frustrating. First several weeks after Maria I was preoccupied with other matters... but now I sorely miss being out of touch with the world. Found out through the grapevine about Hugh Hefner dying... and then Tom Petty. I was mortified to hear Morgan Freeman had died, only to find out later it was fake news.

I also miss keeping in touch with the world of sports. I was happy to hear that the Yankees were eliminated (baseball)... but haven't seen any of the games and will surely miss the World Series. The NFL season has been erased from my map and, although Miles would probably say I'm not missing much ;D , I do miss my Sundays filled with football.

I even missed knowing about our newest boxing champion, some kid named Alberto Machado who just won the WBA super featherweight championship. (Sigh) I can't wait for things to get back to normal around here.

As for national and international news..... zero... zilch... nada. I imagine Trump is still President... and probably still trading barbs with Kim Jong-un. ;D

Morrissey would probably argue that no news is better. I am inclined to agree. The news is so negative and full of hyperbole. I am not sure what their purpose is anymore. It isn't to inform. It is to influence and manipulate so they can shove their news up their jacksy's because I am just not playing anymore. You are not missing much, Tito. Appreciate the quiet while you have it. All that static plays havoc with the gear stick.
