Mike Perez- Career is practically over!
Great fighter.... sorry to see what happened to him vs. Magomed Abdusalamov... but since that fight he was destroyed by Alexander Povetkin, he had a KO win over a lesser known guy and then lost a wide UD to Maris Breidis.
I don't think he will amount to much anymore. It's just over. It bees that way at times....

Mike Perez can still be a force, he is too small for heavyweight but can still win a title at the lower weights.
Re: Mike Perez- Career is practically over!
I think if he stays interested at Cruiser he can be involved in good fights. He was beaten soundly by Breidis but it wasnt a bad beating. Gassiev, Breidis and Usyk are the top cruisers but outside that Perez gives anyone a really good fight.

I like the fact that he tried to reinvent himself before the heavyweight shortcomings became a habit and he collected damage. Not his fault Povetkin turned out to be a juicer with a bad Abercrombie & Fitch haircut. If he resists the temptation..and there is always one..to again balloon up and go after a heavyweight hopeful, he can still have some success at 190.

Cruiserweight is 200lb mate, you're only 10 years behind (;D)
Perez showed against Breidis he can hold his own at top level. Styles made for a horrible, ugly mess but Perez proved his fitness/stamina and punch resistance was fine at 200. Now if only he could get a personality bypass he'd get some big fights
Re: Mike Perez- Career is practically over!
He came into that last fight in great shape. Against some of the fringe contenders he can have success. He needs to stay away from the elite of the division tho. Masternak, Makabu, Mchunu, Kalenga would all be fun.

;D Single handily trying to bring back the classics and going with the trend of CWs mate. The new Lt. Hvy/ Jr. cruiser division will catch on!
