Unbeaten former IBF lightweight champion Paul Spadafora is expected to be back on the street in about two weeks. The 30-year-old Spadafora, who pled guilty to shooting his girlfriend in the chest, served a total of 13 months with the last six being in a "boot camp." On April 17, he is scheduled to be placed in a halfway house and allowed to resume his boxing career. "The Pittsburgh Kid" is 38-0-1 with 15 KOs.

He's a giant bag of raw talent but he has REALLY got to get his head screwed on straight. Hopefully prison helped him straighten his life out.

I think he could climb the rankings, but becoming champ, especially undisputed champ, is reaching a bit. I like Paul, and I'd like to see him get back to the game, because it would add another contender in a weight class{Light through Welter, not sure what he would weigh now} that has alot of talent. Hopefully, light, because he doesn't posess the power to hurt any welters.
For the record, IMO he lost the fight to Dorin.Good luck Paul!

I'm very glad to hear it because Spadafora is an outstanding fighter and a pleasure to see in the ring. Let's hope that he's ready to behave himself outside of the ring when he gets out of prison.
