Re: Eubank JR next move..
Learn to box?
He can start by getting a proper trainer and base, start again at the beginning, learn the basic fundamentals.

Re: Eubank JR next move..
His corner was embarrassing - couldn't even tell the lad what round it was!!
Re: Eubank JR next move..
Depends on his goals. If he wants to try to be world class like Fenster said he needs to learn to box. From his feet up he needs to learn it all.
If he wants to make some exciting fights and some money just get back in the ring with the best opponent he can get.
Re: Eubank JR next move..
There are some fun domestic fights for him at 160 and 168, I hope this loss humbles him enough to snuff out that arrogance. Learn to walk before you can run and all. Drop his dad, get a proper trainer and get straight back in the gym next week and start learning the basics.
Re: Eubank JR next move..
He waits too late to turn it up. Actually, I felt he won the Saunders fight. But he clearly lost the Groves fight. Eubank simply needs to get in the habit of fighting for 12 rounds EVERY round. He can't wait until the near end to turn up every single time.
Re: Eubank JR next move..
Eubank Junior is an athletic person but can not box at a world class level. Just clueless and everyone at that level would simply outbox him every time.

Hmmmmmmm, 24 hours can make a big difference I suppose.
Re: Eubank JR next move..
It would be absolutely horrible if Jr was drafted in to fight in the final because of Groves injury.
Not because I can't stand Jr but because it would mean that the winner had already been beaten and it would devalue the competition, would they consider putting the date of the final back to allow groves to recover or is the date of the final set in stone?
That's if Groves injury is bad enough to rule him out of the current date of the final anyway.

Don't say things like that out loud mate. Fuck ...it makes your teeth hurt just thinking about it. :-\
Re: Eubank JR next move..
The promoter, Sauerland, is Groves actual promoter as well as the tournament front man, he'll/they'll definitely postpone it for a matter of weeks.

Eubank was truly awful, he never threw a jab, was not active and just stood off. His attacks were amateurish.

Yep. Did you not think maybe that would be the case?
Anyway, I've just seen Jnr's post fight press conference.
1. He thought he did enough
2. Groves head butted him a lot during the fight, doesn't know how he got away with it.
3. He'll either replace Groves in the final, or fight Truax, or go back down to MW, or fight DeGale or some other such fucking fantasy nonsense.

Yep. Did you not think maybe that would be the case? Very sudden turnaround in the space of 1 fight.
Sudden turnaround is because Eubank Junior was so poor beyond belief.
