All that effort and it was a tin pot belt , it was about the fight not the WBO joke strap.
Styles make fights as we well know , Eubank had an iron chin , Benn's best attribute was his power.
Eubank went on to post one of the most embarrassing resumes of any so called champion , corpses and hand picked fighters.
The fight was brutal and Eubank said he did not want a rematch, it took a lot out of him. Eubank did have soft defences but did take on Watson which was more of a beating.
I think Eubank negotiated a lucrative contract from that stupid company Sky for easy defences. Good on him.

Regardless of joke wbo title both he and Benn deserved to be ranked top middleweights of that time. We had Duran ranked higher than Eubank after Benn ko and he didn't even fight in 1990 and was setting off on his 'comeback' vs a truck load of cans. Back when across the pond meant out of sight out of mind for more than a few fans imo.
