Nice weekend of boxing is here. Big step for Prograis against well traveled Indongo who comes in late notice. Heavyweight 'don't call me Sampson pouha or Joseph parker' Junior Fa takes on Craig Lewis to start things off. Friday night just watching fights.
Junior is going to Faa Lewis up. This guy is massive.
Good start by Fa and Lewis settles and does his own tapping to the body of Fa. Fa trying to work jab and fires in decent right hands, but big guy has some cumbersome movement. Thought out 1st round by both
Fa leading with punches but looks a bit lost in a clinch and leaves himself in some bad counter positions. Strength is obvious and slowing Lewis down.
Fa firing off decent 123's end of 3rd and ups the aggression start 4th. Lewis not hurt and getting by on cageyness and serviceable skill, but man he's tired. Fa is very stuck between styles and vulnerable backing up. Fa not much for left hooking and open to counters when he does. Like to see Fa mash the gas here, big stage for him to impress.
Good mid 5th by Lewis, sneaks in some counters that had Fa thinking out loud standing there blinking. Lewis definitely not here to pad a record..but he needs a ko. Won that round though.

Lewis comes out cocky swapping to start 7th, faster pace and good shots. Fa lands big inside left upper-hook midway to retake control. Oh nice 1-2 from Lewis clean on the head of Fa. Oddly both have landed but neither shaken up. Fa looks pooped leaning on ropes like that.
Fa taking 8th but his punch punch lean hug speaks to bigger problems down the road. Lewis the kind of guy you can learn a bit from early in career, Fa cranked by slappy left hooks. Tons of work to do on Fa.
How the hell did that judge have it a draw?
Lewis actually scored draw on one card :-X but overruled for L. Jr welters up next Ivan Baranchyk 17-0 v Petr Petrov 38-5-2. Lots of action at 140
I think this will end early. Petrov moving up, Baranchyk vulnerable at times but goes balls to the wall.Quote:
