SKEETE v LEJARRAGA Box Nation 28th April 2018
On April 28th, Bradley Skeete ventures to Bilbao, Spain, to take on the local favourite Kerman Lejarraga for the vacant European Welterweight Title.
The world-rated Penge pugilist (27-1, 12 KOs) has already picked up British and Commonwealth honours, and now wants to add the EBU crown to his cabinet.
Basque banger Lajarraga (24-0, 19 KOs) won the Spanish Title in his last outing, and the 26-year-old's most high-profile bout ended in a fourth-round stoppage of Denton Vassell in 2016.
"I'm looking at this as a stepping stone to the future," said 'Super' Skeete. "I'm travelling abroad for the first time to fight away, fighting someone in his home town. I've got no problem in going out to people's backyards. I've done it as an amateur loads of times, and I can do it as a pro."
Last year, Skeete was close to securing a World Title shot against Jeff Horn, but the Australian's team changed their minds and opted to face Gary Corcoran instead.
Skeete has cleaned up domestically in recent years to win the Lord Lonsdale belt outright. He knows that victory here will cement his standing as a genuine world level operator, while defeat will vanquish the 30-year-old to the back of the 147lb queue.
Former Southern Area titlist Boy Jones Jr (15-1-1, 8 KOs) appears on the undercard in a Lightweight contest.

Re: SKEETE v LEJARRAGA Box Nation 28th April 2018
I hope Frank Warren has learnt a lesson. Before the fight , he’s trying to make Skeete v Amir Khan. How stupid does he look now?
Concentrate on the fight in front of you!
