Music between rds
Now call me an old man. But I hate that they now play music between rounds. Watching a live fight in the past I could watch the round then discuss the round before the next round began. Now find myself discussing the last round whilst the current round is in action as cant hear between rounds. I understand they want to attract a younger audience but it does not add to anything whilst the fight is on.

Re: Music between rds
Agreed, it just shows the lack of attention span that kids today have...or are perceived to have.
Its like when people go to the football and feel the need to have a fag in the bogs at half time, you mean to tell me that they can't hold on for 105 fucking minutes, I feel the same about people who buy a ticket and spend half the time downstairs with a pint in there hand but that is more understandable than having a crafty fag.
Sometimes in the boxing they will go to have a quick word with someone in between rounds and all you can hear is seven nation army by white stripes at full blast, I like to hear what the corners are saying in between rounds and sometimes you can't hear that.
Do away with it, that's what I say

Re: Music between rds
Yeah was like 30 people havin a cig in bogs at one of the fights its a joke. Its a fire hazard and security don't do nothing abt it. People are just there for an event and gettin pi$$ed the crowds are completely different than they used to be.

Re: Music between rds
Seems like it's used mainly for live crowd trying to keep the masses hyped. I remember HBO whack show KO nation even had live dancers on stands near corners who'd jump up and start flailing away ;D. Stub Hub and Barclays arena have a twist on the audience participation niche with choruses of "Booo..boooooooo..boo boo..boooooooooooo" regardless of how enthralling the fight actually is :-X.

Re: Music between rds
Well my own personal experience is that I'm usually too enthralled by the ring card girl to even notice the music.
