Essentially, Mike was not ready mentally or physically to fight Lewis. He was antidepressants, body was worn out and under trained.

Everyone in the game knew Tyson was shot to peices and the only chance he had was the first 3 minutes.
After that Tyson would have bit or got himself disqualified but knew he would not get paid or ever fight again so took the beating and loss.
Lennox could have finished Tyson earlier but his conservative and cautious nature made the fight last longer than neccesary.
