Indonesian quake and tsunami kills almost 400 people

Damn.... this region is sweet for quakes and tsunamis. Seems there's one every month or so. I thought I'd look that up, and found some weird stats.

Now, either record keeping back a few decades ago was pretty shoddy, or there's just an alarming increase in the frequency of these major quakes and tsunamis in that region.


Makes hurricanes seem mild by comparison.
