Will Castillo be the man at 140?
Honestly, I don't even know how Castillo's gonna make 135 again to fight Coralles, in fact it will probably give Coralles some help which he'll need. He should be at 140, assuming he beats Corrales and then moves up, is he the man at the division? With Hatton gone, although he's said he'd go back down for a fight with Castillo, there's really only Cotto and the younger guys like Malignaggi, Aranoutis, Demetrius Hopkins, guys like that along with Witter, Corley, neither of whom can beat Castillo IMO. Vivian Harris too but I'd take Castillo confidently in that one.
The only thing is he's had so many fights and he's not getting any younger, but other than he should be fine. I think he beats Cotto in a good fight, Hatton's a tougher fight if he comes back down, but damn that would be a good fight. Hatton or Cotto versus Castillo are fights that are at the top of my list.
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
Corrales is saying he thinks Castillo is so scared of him he won't make 135 on purpose. Why the trash talk Chico? Is he saying it because he knows Castillo is going to have trouble making 135? hell he's had trouble making 135 since even before the first Mayweather fight. Seems Castillo performs better when he is bald then when he has hair.
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
I definetly wanna see Castillo at 140 fighting Cotto and Hatton but watching him school guys like Aranoutis, Urango, Harris, etc., wouldn't be bad either.

You didn't even come close to answering my question ;D
I think he'll struggle to make 135 again, at 140 he crushes Coralles, but if he's weight drained that gives Chico a better chance
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
Ok, how would Castillo do in fights with Cotto and Hatton?

I love second statements. So what do you think about Cotto and Hatton fights, and fights against other 140 pounders
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
I think Castillo could beat Cotto to the hook and therefore beat Cotto. A Hatton fight would be good but I think Hatton would be a little much and it would resemble Castillo's last fight but with him getting hit more. People like Julio Diaz and his last opponent when Hatton comes to him it would be bad for him. But Hatton is 147 now.

Yeah, I think Castillo could stop Cotto, and I'd pick him to beat him, although I wouldn't be shocked if Cotto won. Hatton's a tougher fight. Hatton is at 147 but he's said he'd come back down for a Castillo fight.
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
What about Castillo-Judah, even at 147?

Even if Zab beats PBF it doesn't mean he would beat Castillo.. :-\ He was meant to spank Baldi remember.
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
Castillo slated to fight Cotto at the end of the year,he is moving up to 140 regardless of the outcome of his fight with Chico and it will be Cotto's last fight at 140. I'm backing Cotto to win as long as he does not try to start a war with Castillo and he improves his hooks!! He leaves himself a bit too open when he throws a hook, making it eays to be countered. When Cotto leaves 140,I think it will be dead, and El Temibl will easily dominate! Who is going to stop him, juan Diaz,Cotto's younger brother,Corely,WitteR?None of them could stop this Mexican warrior although I would not bet aghainst Corrales moving up to 140 and fighting Castillo again!! Great analysis Starr,JLC fights better with head shaven!
Re: Will Castillo be the man at 140?
Someone mentioned Castillo isn't getting any younger, which is very true. I strongly believe he will be the man at 140, with or without Hatton. But, if that is going to happen, he better get there, and fight all the top guys right away. Otherwise, age may very well catch him within the next year or two.
