Joe Joyce v Bryant Jennings
Joe Joyce: British heavyweight to fight Bryant Jennings in July
British heavyweight Joe Joyce has announced he will face former world-title challenger Bryant Jennings on 13 July and expects it to be his "toughest fight to date".
Joyce, 33, won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and has compiled nine victories from nine as a professional.
American Jennings, 34, has 24 wins, with three defeats by Wladimir Klitschko, Luis Ortiz and Oscar Rivas.
"I intend to send a statement to the heavyweight division," said Joyce.

"It won't be long before I get my hands on the big titles. This should be my toughest fight to date."
Joyce will fight on the undercard of the all-British contest between Nathan Gorman and Daniel Dubois at London's O2 Arena.
Jennings, who challenged Ukrainian Klitschko for world titles in 2015, said: "After this, I'm coming after all the other UK heavyweights. They are the ones running the division."

Re: Joe Joyce v Bryant Jennings
That is quite a good opponent, no idea how he's coping with being stopped again though but Jennings is a competent boxer he's not big but he's fairly tall(Joyce is taller though) with a good reach.
Re: Joe Joyce v Bryant Jennings
I personally think Jennings could win this, im not a big fan of Joyce, he is slower than a giant tortoise wearing lead boots..
Fair play for the tough chioce opponant.

LMAO!
Joyce punches like he's in a vat of molasses but he's technically very sound which will he'll benefit from. I am not sure how he'll adapt if someone sticks and moves, which is the gameplan A#1 for Bryant Jennings! High guard and move move move!!!!
This would be a better fight for Jennings about 3-4 years ago, but hey he's got a chance even if it's a small one.
Joyce and all these heavy handed heavyweights make me miss guys like Dokes, Byrd, Tillis, etc who were good defensively sound heavyweights with footwork and fast hands I think those guys would have had a damned field day with the likes of Joyce!
Re: Joe Joyce v Bryant Jennings
Little bit of wear and tear on Jennings and Joyce needs to count on that. Big guy big personality good punch but some of his punches come like he was underwater. If Jennings doesn't overthink it and uses Joyce falling forward against him he might just spring the upset. More likely he does well early but is forced late to stand in for one exchange too many though.
Re: Joe Joyce v Bryant Jennings
Jennings was never really that good but made a good career for himself. He was never great technically. He was just a good athlete. So now that he is older and coming off a KO loss, I doubt he wins this one.

Jennings appears to be done. Sadly. He had a lot of talent and promise. I thought of him higher than Wilder before Wilder won the belts and actually has better ability than Wilder.
