El Chango Cancio v Alberto Machado II Dazn

Glad these two are doing it again. Card is Friday night on DAZN not sure of exact time. First fight was pretty straight forward with surprise Canico climbing off the deck to batter down the heavy favorite and streaking champion Machado for a 4th round tko. Never saw that one coming personally. Expecting Machado to come in more focused and with his head screwed on straight but never know how coming off first loss via brutal ko will go. Angel Acosta 20-1 (20) defends his trinket against 14-1 Elwin Soto in the co main event.

Pretty sure I'll end up caving to DAZN at some point, especially when now my hometown fighters are on and I can't see them. ;D Obviously hoping Machado can climb back on the horse without getting thrown off for a 2nd time. Acosta is a bit rough around the edges sometimes, but he's a rough customer, and I'm hoping he defends his trinket successfully tonight. ;D

I thought it was a weird first fight, Machado looked really good for the first few rounds and should have won easily but he just tottaly folded from some body shots that didn't even seem that hard.. Maybe hes having weight problems.... Well that was my recollection of it. I'll be watching if. I'm done yoga in time :S

Once again been having disconnects and "try again" prompts from Dazn not sure what the problem is. They should refund $1 per refresh :p. This Acosta v Soto may just turn into a fire fight.

Sotos throwing when he has a Costa hurt is pretty amusing... Acosta is doing a good job of guarding whegb he's hurt though, lesser fellows would have been out I think.

Real nice back and forth in 4th round both feeling the body shots big time.

Strong last minute for Acosta ripping off good 3,4 punch combos in 6th. Soto still getting in singles to the body

I don't think that needed to be stopped, acosta was hurt a good few times in the fight and defended very well before :S.... Soto could well have stopped him though... I would have let it go on though :S

Yeh that was a brink of defeat tko. He did catch him perfectly with that peach left hook when Acosta rushed in and Acosta was frozen in place. I can see both sides.. ref either steps in as he's not defending or throwing back or ref stands aside waiting for Acosta to click back on. Definitely needs rematch very tough quality scrap by both.

Same again, bad for Puerto Rico Champs there, I Thi k machadouis just buggered at the weight, hes a skilled guy though hopefully he hasn't ruined his mind with these two defeats.... Good for cancio, I wonder if he'll keep his job or quit to be a full pro, commentators claim he was still at work this week :S... Cancio has the good Kind of problems now.

Damn. Sounds like they were both good fights (at least the Acosta one)...... but both fiery crashes for me. :(

Well.... looking forward, hoping Acosta bounces back from that. No reason why he shouldn't.

Machado, well..... twice is enough I guess. Whether he's successful moving up is anybody's guess. I'd venture to say that Cancio was severely underrated (at least by me).

I thought the Acosta stoppage was horrible. It was way too quick. He was winning the fight and was the champion. Maybe he would have fallen and gotten to clear his head. I think he would have been fine. I think Acosta got robbed.

Cancio now has to prove that he can beat other top fighters. He has to prove that he has improved over his career and beating Machado isn’t just a styles make fights situation

The battle of Soto vs. Costa was great. The referee ruined the results of both fighters. The stop was very fast. I thought that Acosta had won when it stopped. He deserves a rematch soon. That is a good victory for Soto, but I feel he has been lucky. Kancio has always been a tough fighter. He may just have a Machado number. I think Jojo Diaz beat him again in the rematch.
