Emanuel Augustus faces Courtney Burton next

In an interesting matchup, lightweight contender Courtney Burton (20-2) returns on Tuesday in a nationally televised bout against all-action Emanuel Augustus at the Walker Arena in Muskegon, Michigan. The bout will be televised on ESPN2's Tuesday Night Fights. Augustus, formerly known as Emanuel Burton, is much better than his 28-24-6 record indicates, as evidenced by his win over highly regarded Alex Trujillo 23-2 earlier this year. Two weeks ago, in an IBA title bout he was winning, Augustus was disqualified against Tomas Barrientes. Courtney Burton is returning after being stopped in round eleven of a brutal war against current IBF lightweight champion Julio Diaz. Also on the card, which promoted by Malcom Garrett, is light heavy Rocky Smith (9-2) versus Anwar Oshana (23-3).

I've seen Courtney fight his last 2 fights, I think on Tuesday or Friday Night Fights.

Augustus has lost 4 out of his last six fights, and you don't get a dicked up record like his by 30 mistakes, misjudgments & robberies.

This fight is below Courtney Burton IMO.

I like both fighters, but I'll say Augustus just to challenge you, and to see which one of us says I told you so, to the other.

Augustus is my man. He will beat this Courtney Burton and end yet another prospect's dream.

Burton is the guy that Knocked out Manfredy viciously.

But yeah, Augustus should take this.

I'm with Purist, sorry mate. After watching Burton get battered by Diaz I have to choose Augustus as long as he doesn't fuck up, it's his.

Should be a good fight though....
