Who have been the biggest clowns or "showboats" ever in boxing?
Here are a few that I can think of:

Emmanuel Augustus
Roy Jones Jr.
James "Lights Out" Toney
Sugar Ray Leonard

I am surprised :o how can you ever conceive that list and forget Naseem Hamed
Naseem Hamed & Cory Spinks.
Jorge Paez ;)
Jorge Paez was a clown, literally. He worked in the circus for awhile in his youth. As a fighter though he was no joke. He was a clean fighter who rarely clinched or fouled at all, and always showed class in defeat as well as victory. That goes to show you that just because a guy looks ridiculous before a fight that doesn't mean that he will violate the rules or disrespect an opponent.Quote:

Audley 'Parcel Force' Harrison is a clown.
He gives it the big chat, then has 1 or 2 fights year for 5 years, finally steps up in class, then reveals himself to be a spineless waster, with zero stamina; that's what I call a clown. :end: :baeh: :alcoholic:
clown/showboat/idiot/dumbass/ and lost all respect after going after a fifty year old man, instead actually fighting when he was supposed to

Remember seeing this guy on an undercard and thinking 'Jeez,he's a bit of a clown!' ;D

Mike "The Bounty" Hunter. He could fight a bit, too.
Ali, Leonard, Naz all showboaters.
Valuev and Toney and clowns as they can be a force in the heavyweight division when one is small and fat and the other is like big foot.
Yeah - Paez was a credit to the sport in his time. A decent honest pro.Quote:
