Lopez v Davis - who wins?
Only a matter of time till they meet, hopefully 2021.
Would Lopez be too big and clever or would Davis bang him out cold?
You gotta be one seriously tough fucker to take what Davis can dish out and he's gotta be one of the hardest hitters P4P out there.
Gun to my head I'd pick Tank by KO.
Re: Lopez v Davis - who wins?
Lopez has proven more to this point I think and has proven to be able to beat legitimate lightweights. Lopez doesn’t fight on the inside so Tank would have to impose his will on Lopez. It’s definitely possible, but I think once he feels Lopez’ power, he will be hesitant trying to rush in.
I would pick Lopez by UD

I like Davis skill, but I admit his braggart ways makes me lean toward Lopez out of emotions. What wavers me back n forth is that Lopez won against a great fighter that just wont turn the heat on early. Tank can & will, so that makes this a dream match-up!
Re: Lopez v Davis - who wins?
Great match up- both young and explosive. I lean (slightly) toward Teo for two main reasons:
1. I feel Teo can fight the more consistent and disciplined fight. Tank is so explosive that, like most devastating punchers, he has a tendency to wait for the big shot. When focused Tank is a beast and very athletic fighter/boxer, but I’ve never seen him fight the type of tight fight that Teo fought for all 12 rounds vs Loma.
2. Teo is the much larger man and looks like a welterweight who sucks down to 135. Tank is big for 130, but is short and will be too small at 140 (in my opinion).
This isn’t to say that Davis has no chance- this is a 50/50 fight in my opinion. As great of a win as the Loma fight was for Teo, he looked very uncomfortable when Loma walked to him amid started putting the punches together. I think Tank hits much harder than Loma so will be interesting to see how Teo handles those shots.

Warm images, cold words...

Teofimo Lopez warmed our hearts this week in posting images of him in his formative years alongside greats of the trade like Lennox Lewis and trainer Freddie Roach.
"Little did these champs know they were taking a picture with 'The Future of Boxing,'" wrote Lopez, who is now the sport's breakout star after his win over Vasyl Lomachenko.
He was less complimentary about another legend - Floyd Mayweather.
Lopez is linked with a fight against one of Mayweather's own stars Gervonta 'Tank' Davis and he did not take the fact Mayweather thinks Davis is the main attraction in that bout very well.
"I collected all the belts and I'm the 'B side?' You're crazy man," Lopez told IFL TV.
"I will be blunt, I think Floyd is still trying to find ways to stay relevant. He uses 'Tank' and talks to the media for him. Let 'Tank' be his own man. I think Floyd is crazy."
Somewhere in Lopez's attic there must be a childhood photo of him with Mayweather in his prime. We may need to wait a while to see it.

Re: Lopez v Davis - who wins?
I'd have to go with Lopez. Size, adaptability and massive momentum coming off Loma win. Both reaching their early peak coming off two huge victories but it's Davis I need to see more consistency from. Both have to avoid the post pinnacle letdown too and not let their egos override discipline and approach.
