Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Firstly have to say man I do not like this fight ;D. Basically they're just cashing all in on the all Mexico Cinco de Mayo week festivities. Hey all the power to ya but off top Arreola doesn't need to be taking anymore punches. And Ruiz is one fight removed from -the- unified heavyweight championship. But alright I'll stop bitchin :-X. Ruiz has been in serious training and has shed 30+ lbs looking to make a showcase return with the division still very much in flux. No doubt Arreola will realize it's another of his 'last' chances and look to go to absolute war similar to last time out with Kownacki. Very plausible he does very well in the first few rounds behind the heavy jab but if the hand speed, beard and combination punching of Ruiz are still at pre and post AJ levels I think he'll do a lawnmower job on Chris by midway to late. That war torn puffy mug is made for mashing up. But question is..can a guy lose too much weight trying to reinvent themselves? How's that punch resistance hold up. Does machismo make Ruiz feed off the crown and event and welcome some careless exchanges. I don't plan to buy it but will wait and see how the morning goes. But putting the main event card on secluded ppv and not a premium spot on free FOX primetime tv with the prelims is just dumb.
Actually a couple of nice undercard fights that should be solid. Sebastian Fundora v Jorge Cota at 154. Eduardo 'Zurdito' Ramirez gets a deserved crack at an interim title v Isaac Avelar and Omar Figueroa Jr v Abel Ramos has fire fight written all over it. Oh and if the purse strings are too tight we can all catch Erislandry Lara fighting for his 100th 'regular' wBa trinket on the cable prelim portion of the FOX broadcast ;D.

War torn puffy mug deserves a round of applause. It's a cynical Cinco cashin like you say but I'm going to tune in. I managed to miss the last DAZN card recently because it was on earlier than normal so I'm even going to check the time on this one.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Have to say Arreola put in that work. Dude weighed in 228lbs lowest of entire career :-X.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
I'm pulling for the upset. Andy was looking for an easy win against a high profile punching bag. He will look kinda bad trying to backpeddle or use movement. He stands & trade, I'm pulling for a wildslugfest - Andy gets cut. Arreola on a technical decision!
Upset the applecart Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Absoluteoy no intention of paying for this, but looking firward to seeing the revamped Ruiz. I like him, but he's got a lot to prove and Arreola isn't going to help him answer all the questions.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Lara with the one-punch 1st round KO over the poor kid nicknamed 'Cornflake' :-X. Not something he's known for but the gap in levels was glaring right at the bell. Eduardo Ramirez looked superb dropping and rocking Isaac Avelar for the TKO in 3rd. Outdoor arena too, love those.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Quality start to Fundora v Cota exchanging up close. Fundora at 6'6 and inside fighting is just freaky. Cota tossing bombs just to reach him.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Cotas flesh and faculties don't look long for this into the 5th. Tough guy but Fundora chopping uppercut shots inside chewing him up.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Was a good stoppage Cota was being dismantled badly, clearly short circuited. Brian Kenny is falling off his bar stool looking for controversy here.

Ten years too late :S... I like Arreola, but I think he reacted badly to the vitali loss and just got fatter..
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Figueroa doing that awkward bob and weave crossed guard thing trying to stay on the chest of Ramos. Ramos little better looking for opening and stabbing straights to body early 3rd.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Figueroa looked lost on the end of the combos by rounds end. Best round and figuring style out a bit
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Arreola's mug does not look puffy, at least when he's gloving up. Things may change later.
Good evening anyway.
Re: Andy Ruiz v Chris Arreola card Saturday
Kenny has been trolling this new announcer chick for the last two cards :-X. Girl pronounced Lennox Len'ox one time and hasn't heard the end of it ;D.
Ramos doing a number on him in 4th. Teeing up great timing combos and Figueroa reduced to 1 counter bombs.

Best shape of his career no doubt. Goosen has helped big in that regard.
