This fight shows how good Tszyu really was...
I thought nobody has ever been has technically, and skilled in the ways of boxing as Mayweather in its history, but after seeing Tszyu against Forrester in the Olympics, and his fights against Chavez I was starting to think he was probably better than Mayweather in terms of technical skill. Now after watching how long it took Mayweather to adapt, and relax against Judah, and that Tszyu had Judah figured out after ONE round I think can truly appreciate how great Tszyu really was...

Kostya was great, what can I say. Mayweather is in his shadow. He wanted to stop Zab, only because Kostya did it.
He wanted to Knockout Sharmba, only because Kostya did it in 3 (or was it 2? It was so quick!) He couldn't stop Sharmba, only Steele did. heh

I have to disagree. I think you may be the only person in the world who thinks Mayweather is in Kostya's shadow.

I disagree Mayweather would have stopped Shambra, and Steele just stopped it from getting ugly. Also Floyd doesn't hit even close to as hard as a guy who was about 20 pounds heavier in the olympics, and is a hitter as opposed to him. However I would have loved to have seen FLoyd was Tszyu... truly would have been on of the most brilliant though maybe boring fights I would have ever seen.

What was the highest P4P position tyzsu has ever placed in by the way?

Yes. Mayweather always wants a knockout. I predicted a Mayweather in the ninth, in Sharmba fight. So it really p*ssed me off to see damn Steele stop it early, from a body shot, and no mandatory 8 count, when Mitchell got up in time.
But you can't argue who great Kostya was. :) Makes 'em all look like chumps, aside from Ricky Hatton. 8)
Re: This fight shows how good Tszyu really was...
I totally disagree.
Kostya just fights a different fight than Floyd does & Floyd was simply showing Judah too much respect...also...Mayweather was just on the move up & what Mayweather has done has been far more impressive than what Kostya has done.
Hate him or love him...Floyd is a phenom of a fighter.
He beat Judah...no matter what.

Not sure he was around the Roy JOnes Jr./Oscar Dela Hoya/Pernell Whitaker/Trinidad/Mosley era though so... he didn't get the respect he deserved.

Word.
Kostya caught Zab with a good shot after Zab out-boxed him in the first. You can't really take allot from that fight.

Your right, Wack.
Re: This fight shows how good Tszyu really was...
Well Tszyu was already countering the whole second round...

By the way I LOVE Tszyu
Re: This fight shows how good Tszyu really was...
All respect to Kostya...not dissing the man at all...but Floyd is a whole different ball game.
But either way you look at it...Judah was open...Kostya came through...end of story.

Both were trying to counter Judah... Granted Floyd Mayweather didn't get caught as many times in the first round... its took him almost 4 rounds before he found the distance. I think his reliance on his superior speed hit a brick wall in this fight and I give him props for finding a way around it... sort of because he still used his superior speed and talent to win in the end.
