Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
I think this fight would make sense should ODLH beat Mayorga (which I think he will). Hatton would not only get his exposure (in a huge way), but he would be up against a seasoned and skilled boxer in ODLH. Should Hatton lose this fight by being outboxed, there would be no need to see a PBF vs Hatton fight, and we would all be spared an overhyped 'super' fight.
Should Hatton's relentless pressure prove successful against ODLH (who also uses a similar defence to PBF), it would add some necessary momentum to what could be a massive fight for boxing in PBF vs Hatton.
What do you all think?
This may have been mentioned before, but I haven't seen much talk of this.

I think it's a repeat of the first Chavez fight. DLH looks his best againdt Hatton's style.

I agree unless DLH looks really old in the ring. But don't you think that if DLH can outdo Hatton at this point in his career, that it would make the PBF vs Hatton fight futile?
That's just my point... I think a lot of people feel that PBF vs Hatton is just a step up from PBF vs Gatti. Let Hatton get his exposure and have a chance to prove us wrong by beating on DLH.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
Hatton stopped by rd 9 after getting marked up bad by ODLH.
Hatton is a gr8 fighter but his style is made for ODLH.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
Think De la Hoya will out box Hatton and stop him late if he is in shape. But i would give Hatton a chance if ODLH has'nt fought for a year if Hatton can take him into the later rounds you never now what can happen.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
De la Hoya would eat Hatton alive!
Now Hatton-Mosley, that's another story!
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
So floyd has a chance and hatton doesn't?
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
Hatton's come forward brawling style suits Oscar...which is why I say that Oscar is going to hammer Mayorga.
The only thing that worries me is this...Oscar's been outta the ring a looooooooooooooooooong time...& when he's been in the ring lately...he's been out of his game.
It all depends on how much Oscar is left in De la Hoya right now to decide the Mayorga outcome...but I still say he has enough left to beat him.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
hatton still has to do plenty to become a real champion.
beating a old kostya looks good on the resume but we all know a prime kostya would snap him in half.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
fuck off. de la hoya has been inactive too long now. we all saw what hopkins body shot did to oscar, hatton is too quick on his feet and would get close and hammer that body.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
I don't think that it will happen. De La Hoya is a middleweight now, although he can train down to junior middleweight with enough hard work, while Hatton is just now stepping up to welterweight. If he beats Mayorga and wants to keep fighting, De La Hoya will want to take on a bigger man than Hatton, maybe a world class fighter at 154 lbs.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
Oscar Dela Hoya who fought Mosley at 147 would kill Hatton. Not because he's more skilled, but simply because his jab and style would fuck Hatton in the... you know. Anyways Oscar Dela Hoya seemed really big at welterweight and I think his jab would keep Hatton away while he cuts apart Hatton's face. At 154 I think a the same the thing would happen pending the Mayorga fight I think ODLH wins this.
Re: Hatton vs ODLH - What do you think?
would ODLH's reflexs still be as good and wouldnt be able to deal with hattons body punches but if oscar can parry or block the body blows then hatton would get beat by UD
