Had it not been for Tank v Garcia...
.. none of these other top quality fights would have been happening this year and one behind the other. We had Crawford v Spence, now are on the cusp of Canelo v Charlo and now we have Fury v Usyk AND Benavidez v Andrade. What next? Bivol v Betterbiev?
Thank the fight makers for making Tank v Garcia happen because from that all other decent fights have flowed.

The fights would have happened anyway.

BS. You mean to tell me Andrade v Benavidez would have happened this year? GTFOH! I don't even think Canelo v Charlo would have happened this year.

In large part it stood out as an ice breaker to what was at least early on a very sloooow and muddled year. And then in the second half we're hearing "one of the best years in boxing in decades" repeatedly ;D. Granted some top-notch fights came about but by no means is it exceptional compared to so many years where BIG fights were a given. It's just rare now tbh. Hopefully it'll continue to pick up.

I don't know about the greatest year in boxing, but it is shaping up to be quite an eventful year. I don' really classify boxing in years. I just don't have that concentration... lol...
