Sadly, he doesn't have too. But I think the tide is turning of the "formula" they have been using. Making the most by honestly facing the least. The new Prime deal would seem to only strengthen the pattern of low risk-high reward as he may not be the face of boxing, but surely he's a massive face for PBC. Unless of course the people overseeing match making on the platform do something crazy like ooooh I dunno...demand top level opponents or have approval input. HBO used to but that seems lost now.
