Haney next x3 fights - 2024
March - Teofimo Lopez
July - Ryan Garcia
November - Tank Davis
What fights do you expect to see?
Re: Haney next x3 fights - 2024
Yeah. Let's just keep ignoring the white (in this case, black) elephant in the room.
Teo and/or Ryan will both be irrelevant once they dip their toes in THAT pool. ;)
Re: Haney next x3 fights - 2024
Haney is still the bogeyman.

Goodness!
Still no mention of Matias.
Not that I blame anyone....
Re: Haney next x3 fights - 2024
The fighters on Hearn’s target list for Haney in 2024:
Ryan Garcia – March/April: The easiest fight to make of the three due to Ryan & Haney both being on the same platform, DAZN. This is a fight that would generate a lot of money on PPV and the gate, particularly if it’s staged in San Francisco at the Chase Center, where Devin sold out last Saturday against Regis Prograis.
Teofimo Lopez – June/July: It would be a unification fight. Teofimo holds the WBO title and is eager to get the big paydays that have thus far eluded him. He has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, seeing other fighters like Ryan Garcia get a $30 million payday, and he’s not enjoyed the same kind of money.
Gervonta Davis – November/December: Haney would have to change his fighting style dramatically to entice Gervonta to fight him. He’s probably not going to be eager to fight a mover.

sandor martin is devin's mandatory but i don't see that fight happening. devin was talking about moving straight to welter, so his next fight could be against someone like mario barrios

I’ve got a lot of admiration for Haney, he’s doing everything right . You can tell those would be Hearn’s target fights, but for me , he’s got nothing but money to gain from fighting Ryan Garcia. He is way above Garcia’s level.
And as much as I like Tank, Haney would be a weight too far for him in my book.
I would love to see the Teo fight, but it might be unfair on Haney for that to be next up.
So I would like to see him maybe ease into the weight by beating Taylor or Catterall, then Matias , then Teo.
Or if he is looking to go up another weight , Matias, Teo , Spence Jr.
Re: Haney next x3 fights - 2024
I really hope he stays at 140 and puts in some great work. No matter the fighter my pet peeve is the trend of fighters hopscotching thru divisions after a singles event more focused on collecting tin. He has a big frame but he'll do well at 140 and can obviously show up 100 percent. But all cards on the table, I have new appreciation and salute Haney. He pitched a perfect game and looked top notch from what I've seen v Prograis.
Teo has to be numero uno! Seriously great unification but will the politics of promotion scuttle it. I really think both fighters want it. Tank Davis is in a situation to where he may subtly be rotting on the vine as far as "legacy" and mega fight opponents. Spoiled a bit on the formula of so so opposition but still commanding PPV prices and a big following. I can't see them going with a Haney fight but rather keeping Tank on deck for the debut of the Prime/PBC deal next year. Ryan makes sense for Haney. I think he knows, and fans know he has hit his ceiling but retains some earning potential. If he doesn't do Rolly, Ryan and Haney can and should happen. Matias is the shark in the water and can see him welcoming a Haney fight. No idea what is up with his injury and a bit surprised Teo was fishing for him. I think next Haney will take a mid type fight first. To settle in and tbh he could use a tko now that he has gained elusive respect and 'arrived'. What about a Hitchins or a Russell. Both solid tough fights. Maybe Liam Paro who rode the undercard and looked very good? Future is bright for Haney.

there is a probox video around after subriel's last fight where he shows his hand/ wrist injury, maybe that's why teo's team sent the offer knowing he was injured? but talk of the fight happening in june is a surprise & welcomed if it happens. if devin stays at one forty he'll have to give up the belt or face sandor

Yeah, I saw a picture on social media of what appears to be an injury to Subriel's left hand. Gotta let that heal properly before entertaining any fights with any of the other top dogs. Matias-Lopez would be a huge fight.
Re: Haney next x3 fights - 2024
Haney's a big boy, they say he entered the ring as a Super-middleweight
Can't hate the player, gotta hate the game ;)
Maybe he could jump straight to 154 & fight 'Mell
If I'm match-maker though I doing
Ryan Garcia next
Rolando Romero 2nd
Then the Lopez vs. Matias winner

Ideally they'd push it back and maintain the date. It's a tremendous will pay for fight! Honestly and as a fan and not the accountant of manager of Haney...I'm not mad at Martin being mandatory. Stylistically and for viewing pleasure it could be a nightmare ;D. But boxing the brakes off and getting crooked on the cards vs the top division man Teo has to mean something. Not all mandos are favorites but many also merit their crack.
