Iconic actor.
Just said to someone “I see Mufasa is dead!”
HE HAD NEVER SEEN LION KING!
The World is fucked!
James Earl Jones had the iconic voice and think he sold its rights just before he died. He played Jack Johnson in plays, was in Coming to America with Eddie Murphy and was in a Big Bang episode so many of the younger viewers got to see the man behind the great voice in Star Wars and Lion King.
RIP
What a delivery. Man was great in the Great White hope. In the initial Star Wars I didn't realize he was American. He torqued up the Vader accent and leaned into the expressions so menacing. Role in Conan was great. RIP Sir
Legend. Vader, King Jaffe Jofur, Terence Mann in Field of Dreams, Greer in Jack Ryan. Endless
I remember watching Soul Man in the mid eighties and thats when it clicked who the voice of Vader was.
