Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
What do yall think would have happened by April 11, 2007???
I'll say-
Heavyweights still suck.
Cotto is the undisputed champ @ 140.
Hatton vs PBF for the undisputed championship @ 147 coming up this weekend after PBF beat Margarito & Hatton beat Gatti in Sept. 2006
Jermain Taylor vs. Edison Miranda coming up in early May after Taylor disposes of Winky and Sturm in successive fights. John Duddy is calling out Taylor.
RJJ vs. Tarver IV in June after RJJ shocked Joe Cal by 9th round KO  in early Jan 2007 (I'm gonna get flamed, but I think it would be a good fight)
Sergio Mora and Manfredo are gone.
Anybody got any predictions?
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
(conan obrein ) In the yeeeeear twooo thoooousaaaand ........In the Yeeaaar two thouuuuusssssaaaand
really thoug i expect Lacy to move to Lt heavy ... i expect RJJ to not have fought again ...i expect Holyfeild to have fought agian & loss ..i expect Kelly pavlik to fight for a middleweight title
and Zab judah to lose a rematch to pbf ....anyway i guess mine are all pretty riskless and easy predictions
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
judah will have beaten mayweather legitimatley 8)
big vladdy undisputed champ 8)
magalini will have lost to americo santos 8)
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
oh yea,
sultan ibragimov top 10 P4P 8)
kid diamond raiymkolev top 10 P4P 8)
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
hatton and PBF might possibly still be "planning" on a bout in the unspecified future! >:mad
calzaghe begins to unify the super middleweight belts, because tarver is not worth bothering with after being beaten by an ancient b hop... ;D
oh, and james toney reaches the 300 pound mark :P
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
calzaghe who expressed interest in fighting the winner of wright v taylor frustrated when the fight fails to materialise moves up to light heavyweight but still waits to agree terms with tarver who struggled to beat hopkins. he makes 2 more defences in the meantime including a hard fought decision win over kessler in cardiff.
hatton the wba welterweight champion and floyd mayweather jnr ibf champ both have made 1 defence each of their respective crowns. hatton in his defence wins but needs time out to let cuts heal. mayweather defeats judah in a rematch and proceeds to call out hatton calling him a bum and a limey. bout provisionally set for september
the heavyweight division remains as uninspiring as ever. chris byrd has been inactive for a year following his decision win over vlad klitschko. valuev agrees terms to meet danny williams after the briton defeats skelton in a rematch.
howver the winner of this must meet the new number 1 contender with the WBA Audley Harrison. Harrison having lost to Williams in December 2005 has 4 sucessful comeback fights in 2006. after a decision win over Dominick Guinn, he oupoints Samuel Peter. Calvin Brock and then in 1 round KOs the fragile Vlad Klitschko
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
Calvin Brock is champ with at least two of the belts.
Mayweather beats Hatton.
Jermain Taylor is still champ.

Your 0-3 with these predictions!
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
Joel Julio wins junior middleweight title, Mayweather holds another also at 154 lbs.
Erik Morales is officially retired following a second defeat to Manny Pacquiao.
It's also goodbye to De La Hoya who bows out after a disappointing defeat to Fernando Vargas in what was supposed to be a warm fight before taking on PBF.
PBF now a 5 wieght world champion instead focuses his intentions on trying to secure a fight with Joel Julio.
Hatton is happy after finally getting another meaningful title fight against Miguel Cotto. Cotto still unbeaten has met with criticism after having seemingly pulled out of a fight with Castillo. The date is set for November 2007.
The heavyweights are finally getting some degree of credibility, Wladmir is recognised as the true champion although holding only one belt. Oleg Maskaev has proven to be the suprise package, knocking out Hasim Rahman again to win a title for the first time and then defeating Lamon Brewster in an eliminater for a shot at Wlad's crown.
Calzaghe's career has seemingly stalled with him unable to get another big fight. However news that undisputed middleweight champ Jermain Taylor is prepared to move up to supermiddleweight to fight Joe at 168 encourages him.
Tarver announces his retirement after a controversial win over Vassily Jirov in which most observers felt that he lost.

By April 2007:
James "Jabba the Hut" Toney continues his uncontrolled eating binge and passes 300 pounds. Moves to Japan, becomes a sumo wrestler, and disgraces himself upon sh*tting all over the sacred sumo ring in front of hundreds of disgusted fans.
Zab "The Mouth" Judah finally snaps at a fight, punching the referee in the groin and swinging wildly at anyone who tries to calm him down. Police are called into the melee, and Judah is arrested. Last seen fighting in the New York State Penal System boxing tournaments, and getting his from a 350-pound serial rapist called "Bubba."
The heavyweight division collapses in a heap, with all fights being degraded to 4 rounds apiece. Instead of PPV, people are now being given credits toward PPV fights in other divisions if they'll just tune in to a heavyweight match. Some "champions" go get regular jobs, some try to lose weight to make lightheavyweight, and yet others get on the sauce.
Larry Merchant is on the verge of getting fired from HBO, for his incessant ramblings on Shakespeare, the moon, Plato, and anything but boxing. Harold Lederman gets told to get a real job, and Oscar de la Hoya decides to join the team as fight commentator.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. pushes his record to 30-0 after a thorough destruction of Joe Blow (0-1) by 1st round KO, after Joe was talked into leaving his front row seat for $50 and validated parking.
Ricky Hatton loses for the first time in his career (by DQ), as the referee in his fight in Las Vegas finally stops the fight after repeated warnings for mauling, clinching, kneeing, headbutting, wrestling, etc, etc, etc. Hatton's camp claims the result would've been different back in the U.K.

Thanks, guys. Cool clicks back to you. Glad to see not everyone takes jabs at certain boxers too seriously. After all, if you can't have a little fun in the forum, what's the point?
Re: Let's give predictions for April 11, 2007...
CC for Titofan. That was good stuff. But here's what really happens.
Morales and Pacquiao get ready for rd 4 after they fight to a draw in their third fight.
PBF will have just beaten some mandatory we've never heard of as a prep for his June PPV w/ Hatton.
Margarito will still be crying that nobody wants to fight him.
Jermaine Taylor will still be undefeated (yes, I'm picking him to beat Winky in June)
Don King will still be a crook.
Judah will be preparing to make his comeback fight after serving his one year suspension.
