rest in paradise rasta man
Too many voids left in a 24 hr span wtf. Loved Bramble another completely down to earth fighter. Underrated in general and very capable inside and cagey with it. He leaned into the 'boogeyman' stuff early that the media played up but in the end proved levels beyond some stereotypes. Was brilliant in Mancini fights and with Crawley and had a long stint from champ to gate keeper later. One of the best lead ups and absolute fun wars was Bramble taking on a young Oba Carr. One I think he was screwed in. Also the only time can recall a fight being made with fans calling a 900 number on USA Tuesday night fights. Great times. Actually had a dog named Ras-I and a cat named Nigel when I first came on here :). Bramble was a true original and top notch fighter. Rest in peace Ras-I.
Bramble's name was bigger than his ability. But he left a mark on the sport. May he RIP!!
RIP, Livingstone.
My most vivid memories of him were when he beat fan favorite Ray Mancini. First by TKO, then later by UD. Bramble seemed like a formidable force... and I was genuinely concerned when the fight was made between him and Edwin "Chapo" Rosario. Watching the fight, and seeing Chapo dismantle him in 2 rounds was an unexpected, but joyous surprise.
Bramble then continued to fight way too long, amassing scores of defeats... going way beyond "steppingstone" status.
RIP Livingstone Bramble, a real G in the ring, no doubt. That lightweight champ was a beast, known for bringin’ the heat and takin’ down Ray Mancini. Unique vibe, both in and outta the ring, his legacy in the fight game ain't gon' fade
RIP Livingstone Bramble, a true warrior and former lightweight champ.
I remember him knocking down and embarrassing the brilliant and rising start Oba Carr. Bramble was the old guy who was expected to lose but his tight defence and power shots were too much for the Kronk fighter. He should have got the decision.
RIP Champ.
