Artur Beterbiev v Deon Nicholson
It looks like Bivol is ducking Beterbiev.
It's now been confirmed by The Ring that Beterbiev will be facing a new opponent next time we see him in the ring, instead of his old rival.
On November 22, in Riyadh, he will be going head-to-head with Deon Nicholson.
Nicholson's last outing saw him stop Devonte Williams in the fourth round, when he featured on the undercard for his stablemate Deontay Wilder's victory over Tyrrell Herndon in June.
The 34-year-old is now stepping up to face a former champion, for the first time in his professional career.
Meanwhile for Beterbiev, this will mark the first time in over eight years that he will be in the ring without a major title on the line.
Their bout is part of the stacked Ring IV that features David Benavidez and Anthony Yarde as the main event.

Had not heard about this so apologies if that is the case.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say Bivol’s ducking—he had surgery recently, and recovery takes time. It’s not ideal, but Artur staying active makes sense. That said, Nicholson is a big leap in competition for someone just stepping up, and Beterbiev doesn’t exactly ease you into elite level.
Still, seeing Beterbiev fight without a major title on the line for the first time in eight years? That’s surreal. Ring IV's shaping up to be stacked, and even if it’s not the superfight fans wanted, it should deliver fireworks.

no need for that, no one knows everything going on. just thought i'd let you know his reason for being out
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Deon Nicholson
Is very odd feeling having Betrbiev effectively buried on a card considering he's just done 24 rounds 1-1 and both he and Bivol both on p4p at respected points. Staying busy is great and at the age is needed. But would love to see these marathon cards split. Literally Dazn should do 1-2 fights Friday and Beterbiev could have his own lead up and headline, then slap us subscribers next night with PPV. The way Dazn is doing programming now and scattered schedule you have to hunt for is its own thread. Should be lite work for Beterbiev but assume nothing as we've learned by now.
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Deon Nicholson
I agree the card is too stacked and should be broken into weeks where there are no big fights. It is impossible to give it your undivided attention if it hidden down as a undercard.

I get what you’re saying but I completely disagree.when people are paying the money they have to pay nowadays, I believe cards should be stacked and it’s up to the punter how much time he sets aside to watch some or all of it.
Why should you have to pay double to watch all these fights by having the card split.
I miss the days when a PPV was for special fights. But maybe I’m just a miserable old twat! (No need to comment on the last statement!😂)
Re: Artur Beterbiev v Deon Nicholson
i like stacked cards but artur's fight doesn't really add anything. i do wish promoters wouldn't schedule big/ good fights for the same day/ time. some days might have two or three cards on, while other weekends have nothing
