If Canelo wins, he was too big & stronger. If Terrence wins, fight was FIXED
Canelo vs Terrence is Mismatch cause if Canelo wins its because Canelo was too big and too strong. But, If Terrence wins it'll be because Canelo ‘’Took Dive’’ and "Threw The Fight" in a pre-arranged Fixed Fight.
This Canelo Alvarez vs Terrence Crawford fight is a big mismatch as the smaller Crawford is moving up 2 weight classes to fight Canelo for a big payday.
Whomever wins this fight is not worthy of being credited because whomever wins will have an unfair advantage. If Canelo wins it’ll be because Canelo is too big and too strong. If Terrence wins it’ll be because Canelo was bribed and/or forced to ‘’Take A Dive’’ /‘’Throw The Fight’’ in a pre-arranged Fixed Fight deal.
Terrence is not asking for catchweight and no rehydration clauses which seems a bit ‘’fishy’’ and suspicious for someone coming up 2 weight classes to fight the bigger man.
Fight Fixing has happened often i big fights for over a century. That's how corrupt boxing was and continuous to be nowadays.
Like many of you have hear about boxing, "Boxing is a business, not a sport".:(
Re: If Canelo wins, he was too big & stronger. If Terrence wins, fight was FIXED
The Canelo v Crawford is an intriguing matchup. I do not think fans were demanding or even asking for it but that does not mean it will not be interesting to watch 2 elite boxers taking on one another.
They happen in boxing and there have been equally compelling historic events like this Roy Jones v Ruiz, Hopkins v Oscar, Manny Pac v Margarito, Mosely v Oscar, and older ones Foster v Frazier or Armstrong v Garcia (to win titles at 4 weights).
You only know after the event if it was worth watching for historic value.
If Canelo wins then he is too big and it was demonstrated clearly when he beat Jermell Charlo. Canelo will rightly be labelled a weight bully for picking on a smaller boxer.
Crawford needs respect for not asking for any clauses. If he pulls this win then he truly is an ATG and deserves the respect of boxing fans. To me he can not lose.
If there is any fixing it will be against Crawford as I do not see judges not scoring the fight for Canelo. He is the house fighter for me.
Either way I can’t wait for the contest. This could turn out to be a special event.
Re: If Canelo wins, he was too big & stronger. If Terrence wins, fight was FIXED
Let’s get this straight,
1. Crawford didn’t ask for any clauses because he wouldn’t have got them.
2. If Canelo wins , it does NOTHING for his legacy.
3. If Crawford wins , (which I think he will) it WILL NOT make him an ATG. Very good, yes. One of the best of this generation, but not All time.
4. More often than not, the Boxer beats the fighter.

Crawford beating Canelo does make him an ATG. That would be a huge historic achievement.

Good points and interesting take.
I have a couple of comments.
1. Crawford will not win the fight. Canelo is the A-side/ Boxing Diva/ WBC-protected darling. No way they fix it so he loses. I know boxing is crooked many times... but this isn't one of those cases. Ginger will not willingly take a "fixed" L to appease anybody. His (cough) legacy has been protected for years.
2. It's THREE weight classes. 154 is NOT Crawford's weight. He fought exactly one fight there, and failed to take his opponent out. He left his power at 147. The fact that he's been bloated up to super middle means nothing.
I totally agree that if Ginger wins he gets absolutely NO credit. None.
However, on the outside chance he should lose (highly unlikely)... I think Crawford deserves a lot of credit. The odds are stacked entirely against him.
Not only would it be a remarkable achievement... but Ginger should hang his head in shame and immediately retire. (In fact, he should retire anyway. I'm tired of him ducking the elephant in the room.)
Yes... I agree with Primo on the rehydration clause thing. NO WAY IN HELL he gets that one past Ginger's team. Ginger's going to step in there easily in the 180's. I'd say it's gonna be a replay of Ginger vs. Khan, except I believe Crawford is quite a bit more crafty than Khan was.

Crawford beating Canelo is nowhere near the achievement of SRL beating Hagler. And let’s not forget Floyd SCHOOLED Canelo. And before we start saying “yeah but Canelo was young and inexperienced “
1. Canelo was 23 , not 16 or something. What is closer to peak? 23 or 35?
2. Floyd was 37, same age as Crawford is now.
3. Canelo may have been “only 23”, but he was a World Champion with 43 pro fights UNBEATEN , AND A WORLD CHAMPION!” And he had already been a pro for 8 YEARS! So let’s be honest, that pushes him even closer to his peak, rather than most 23 year olds.
4. “Canelo was only a LMW” to be honest for the size of the guy , height, reach etc. that is closer to his natural weight category than SMW is. He’s only SMW because of all the “Mexican Beef” he eats. (Nudge, nudge, wink , wink)
5. Canelo is a worthy World Champion, but as a SMW, He’s nowhere near the top of the tree when it comes to All time in that division.
Now, I think Crawford will win, and I do think it is a fantastic achievement to beat any World Champion with a weight jump like that. But Crawford ruined his chances of being an ATG because he has just not had enough outstanding victories in his career against top class opposition. He can only blame himself for that, nobody put a gun to his head to sign those promotional contracts.
And it’s a shame, because he was talented enough to have maybe put himself in the ATG picture, but it’s too late now.
He beats Canelo, fine, well done. He beats Spence. A washed up Spence that had nearly died and was never the same after that Car crash.
Those would be his career defining fights. Nowhere near enough.
Re: If Canelo wins, he was too big & stronger. If Terrence wins, fight was FIXED
There's a common thread here. Some say GGG wasted years of his career groveling after Ginger, and they may have a point. Crawford could've done so much more with his career. But here he is, literally cashing out against the Cash Cow.
The money part of boxing is obviously necessary. But to the point it has been taken by Ginger, it's been detrimental to boxing. Perfectly good fighters begin to think... "Why scratch and claw and toil against lesser-known opposition... when I can bloat up 20-30 pounds and get one last hurrah against Canelo?" It's an early retirement plan.
If Canelo had had the type of career that even a De La Hoya had.... fighting equally dangerous, EQUALLY SIZED fighters at their PEAK.... he could be forgiven the circus he has created. But he DIDN'T. A lot of Ginger's career was smoke and mirrors. Fighting smaller and/or over-the-hill guys... marinating fights that should've been done sooner... stacking the deck unlike any other fighter has ever done... and enjoying the protection of a Mafia-like boxing org which has blatantly and shamelessly given Canelo every advantage they could.
So here we are in the twilight of Ginger's career. Ready to ride off into the sunset after crowing over a victory against a guy from 3 weight divisions down. And his groupies will be riding off with him, carrying him on their shoulders.
I'd give anything for Crawford to pull off the upset. But again... no way he knocks Canelo out. And a decision win is about as likely as Trump saying there are people that know more than him.
