Who should Fabio Wardley face next?
Now that Usyk has ducked Fabio who should the WBO champion face next?
Fabio has improved significantly with each fight but thankfully Usyk gave him a chance to face someone easier and not be outclassed.
There are some good domestic bouts for him so who should he face next?
I would love Fabio to face Dubois next.

Re: Who should Fabio Wardley face next?
Briton Fabio Wardley says he still needs to "earn the right" to call himself world heavyweight champion and believes he "has a point to prove" to fans.
"It's always nicer to do it properly, do it in the ring, have the belt handed to you, shake hands with your opponent after and say 'look, good fight, thank you' and everything else," Wardley told BBC Sport.
The 30-year-old is the 11th Briton to hold a heavyweight world title, but feels he still has work to do to win over some supporters.
"They don't like it when the belts, in their eyes, just get handed about if people relinquish them," Wardley said.
"So there's a level of earning it I will still have to do - but it's an annoying one as well, because if Usyk would have relinquished [the title] three or four weeks ago it would have been on the line for the Joseph Parker fight."
"There's a long list of [fighters] that could be opponents out there," he said.
"Some great domestic fights, some great international fights as well. We could do it in the UK, we could do it abroad, who knows?"

Re: Who should Fabio Wardley face next?
According to Jones, Dubois will return to the ring within the first five months of 2026.
While his next opponent remains unannounced, Dubois' team have made it clear that Fabio Wardley would be an- ideal option.
He explained: "Fabio Wardley is the champion, so it would be a voluntary defence.
"But outside of AJ, Tyson Fury, Usyk – Dubois is the biggest name for Fabio Wardley to fight, which would therefore generate the most money.
“If Fabio Wardley gets the Usyk fight then all credit to him, he deserves that opportunity.
"But, if he wants to make that fight, we can make it very, very quickly.”

Wardley v Fury winner gets Usyk (I thought I'd posted this already must have failed a couple of days ago when I submitted it)
Can Wardley beat Fury.....not sure. But he'll have aged, likely be rusty and maybe his punch resistance has diminished.
That's what makes this one interesting.
I'll be hoping Wardley sparks him early and gets rid of him once and for all - hard to believe I was a huge fan of his five years or so back
Re: Who should Fabio Wardley face next?
Fury would want an easier first fight back which is mooted to be Makhmudov.
Depending on how good he is now at this age and being off for some time I could see Fury beat WBA champion Gassiev easier than Wardley who holds the WBO title.
Fabio is very dangerous and could knock out Fury cold.
Re: Who should Fabio Wardley face next?

Itauma and Wardley are in the same gym and share their trainer Ben Davison. Whilst they could face one another I prefer they didn’t but it is getting more and more awkward as they both continue to be successful.
