I thought Norman would have stopped him. Great bounce back from Haney..
Devin Haney showed good skills and power to gain the respect of Norman. He hurt Brian in the second round and knocked him down. I did not think he would be that strong and then he outboxed and tied up Norman when he got in close.
Haney is the best welterweight in the division and no way Conor is going near him. Devin should target unification and start of with Rolly and Crocker before moving on to the WBC title.
devin haney doesnt steal his right hand anymore.
Have to give the devil his due I got that one completely wrong. Contrary to popular belief Haney is not yet completely gun shy nor walking around with a shattered chin. Mentally he was on point. I thought for sure Norman would rattle him but it was Norman who visually shorted out a couple time when caught early on. Could see him shook then dropped and Haney basically kicked it into command mode. He gave Norman some chances late and Norman tried to adjust but all in all you could see a little gap in levels. The whole narrative and Eddie post fight was a bit much. Here’s the thing, you’re allowed to hit the other guy in the mouth. If a guy is “running” then we’ll, you’re a world champ, cut him off and beat him. Clinching too much bust the body or do a Canelo and bust up an arm etc. If you’re unable to well that’s on you. Don’t really have to be their biggest fan to see there’s two fighters on any given night.
