There is a Roy Jones JR vs Gerald Mcclellan amateur fight out there...

.. apparently it is from the 1988 Golden Glove tournament fight where Gerald won. I would LOVE to see it. Can any of you boxing sleuths go on a hunt and find it for me? Please?

I have seen a video of G Man v James Toney sparring at the Kronk gym.

Roy always admired Gerald so that may have been from those days.

I've seen that video. But the Gerald v Jones Jr video of their golden gloves match should be out there. Some boxing historian has them, or maybe even some television studio. Can't find it on YouTube. I would love to see that.

It would be a great find and I can't recall seeing actual footage of Jones and McClellan. I remember an interview way back with Manny Steward talking on it and made it sound like Roy was manhandled. But would expect nothing less with Manny and Gerald relationship. Always thought about the Kronk gym wars and exactly just how much a McClellan who was known to puff up between fight had taken out of long term. Also couple of good 'similar threads' down below v on the what if they fought.

It wasn't from the Manny Steward interview, which I saw a year or so ago incidentally, but it was from another video I was browsing. Can't remember the name of the youtube creator or the title of the video, but they mentioned it.
