Mario Barrios v Ryan Garcia
Ryan Garcia had plenty to say about his ex-coach Joe Goossen's move to train Mario Barrios for their world title fight.
Garcia will attempt to become world champion for the first time in his career when he takes on WBC welterweight title holder Barrios on February 21.
But in his rival's corner will be a familiar face in renowned trainer Goossen, who he worked with for three fights until 2023.
The pair split after his stoppage defeat to Gervonta Davis, and after a stint working with Derrick James, he will now be cornered by his father Henry.
Goossen and Garcia met on stage for the first time since their split in awkward moments at the launch press conference.
And as the 72-year-old went up to the microphone to speak about Barrios' preparations, he brandished a t-shirt which read 'I'm a traitor'.
Garcia said: “How could you, Joe? That’s messed up.
"I just can’t believe you’re doing this to me. That’s insane. You hurt my heart.
“It’s over. We’re done. I’m breaking up with you again. You just broke my heart.
“Just move on. You were being sweet but I’m offended. It’s too late. I’m offended. I’m offended already, I’m hurt. All of that.
“It hurt me when he didn’t show up after my loss to Tank. That was a pretty big defeat in my heart. I’m a little disappointed in Joe’s decision to go against me, but that fires me up.”
