He's going to get his arse kicked(or whooped, for you simple folk)
http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=352247
here is his boxrec,
his hands still seem pretty quick but the boxing gloves are ALOT bigger then what he used to haveing to sneak his hands betweeen, and his defense wasnt really based on his hands, i agree with you, and i hope his first loss damages his reputation enough to make him think he needs to fight silva again to redeem himself
After two rounds he will not be able to hold them heavy ass gloves up.Quote:

I COULD HAVE KNOCKED THE BUM HE WAS FIGHTING OUT...
whenever he was holding it looked like he was going do a wrestling move like he normally does in the UFC....he looks solid, i wonder how far he'll actually go.
You're right he could use some good better footwork and lose some of the bulk but still he had nice hands as always. I'm gonna be optimistic about him unlike the other know-it-alls who have already posted.
Seriously if you knew everything you wouldn't be sitting around posting on a forum :)
And wouldn't it be funny if he were fighting and accidently threw a knee at someones face!
He's got a pretty good amatuer background. If i'm not mistaken he boxed before mma. Possibly olympic competetior??? Either way he could make some noise and be competetive, but ever since he's taken on the bodybuilder look his conditioning has been poor. I would think he would need to trim down he's too muscalur and gets gassed quickly.
I won't hate, like you guys. It's not too often a guy from MMA goes to boxing though. (Because most disrespect it publicly, but train in their stance all the time. :dontknow: )
... I'm very interested in seeing what happens though.
Fucking hell... the guy won't make a boxer... did you see him try and unload? it was all tensed arms and straight legs... no good boxer will stand off like that either.. complete novice mistake... one I didn't make after my second amatuer bout. He's built all wrong too... there are boxers with as much muscle than that but most of his was in all the wrong places... I doubt he makes more than 5 fights before he sulks back off to MMA
Maybe right but like I said if you knew everything you wouldn't be sitting around posting on some forum :)
What do you mean ??? I'm a competative boxer... ::** ;)
I didn't see the fight, but I'm sure he needs some work and if he is serious he will get the right people to train him. The guy was a pretty damn good amateur boxer before he went to MMA and he is a great athelete. But why are yall say he should rematch Silva...he beat the crap out of that guy in under a minute?
i wouldn't say he's too bulky, he is 220 pounds and that's pretty much the right weight to be a heavyweight these days....not sure how tall he is though
